We’re looking for a creative and technically skilled 2D FX Animator to enrich our animations with hand-drawn visual effects like fire, smoke, magic, water, and lighting. You'll help build atmosphere and energy across our scenes by animating dynamic effects that blend seamlessly with characters and environments.

You’ll work alongside animators, compositors, and directors to elevate every shot with expressive, stylized FX that enhance the storytelling and mood.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create high-quality traditional 26 FPS animation using digital tools
• Suggest creative ideas for current projects or submit new project ideas
• Effectively create animation loops
• Master natural and smooth human body movements as well as pets' movements
• Understanding our characters' anatomy and adapting it in various situations
• Master lighting, mood and atmospheric animations
• Collaborate closely with and take direction from our artistic director
• Implement changes and completely finished shots in accordance with schedules
• Maintain an open and professional demeanor regarding direction, changes and shifting requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 years of experience in animation
• Good understanding of Lofi Girl's character design as well as her cat's
• Understanding of the mood and vibe of the different types of Lofi Music
• Proficient in Photoshop
• Proficient in After Effects and the traditional animation software of your choice
• Strong communication skills
• Good level of English or French
• Familiar with the Lofi Girl universe
